Improving Parent-Child Communication Advanced Webinar
For communication to be effective, all persons involved in the communication process should appreciate that both verbal and non-verbal communication plays a vital role. This is no different for the parent-child relationship. Depending on the parenting styles employed, parents may unknowingly overlook key aspects of communication during interactions with their children (for example non-verbal communication) which can potentially result in conflict or further decomposition of the quality of the relationship between individuals involved. Likewise, children may not be able to articulate themselves as well as adults and they may also be unaware of barriers to effective communication, especially with their parents. This three-day webinar aims to highlight common challenges faced with parent-child communication and equip both parents and their children with effective strategies for strengthening their bond and improving the quality of discourse between members of the family.
